Welcome Sullivan Oscar!!!

On January 8, 2014, three days after my due date, I started having contractions and I knew that today was the day that Sully would make his appearance. I had contractions that were irregular. With both the other boys, my labors started out this way and then progressed to more regular ones, but these ones kept a irregular pattern. Carl kept asking if I wanted to go to the hospital, but I kept telling him that I was not quite ready yet. A little after 3:00 pm, I decided it was time to go, so we called Carl's sister Jade to come over and watch the boys. As soon as we were in the truck, my contractions kept coming quite quickly, every couple minutes, although they did not last as long as they had with my previous labors. By the time we arrived and were in the delivery suite it was 4:00 pm. At this time, the nurse hooked me up to the monitors and checked my cervix and let me know I was 6cm dilated. As soon as we were there, my contractions started coming every minute and just lasting for 20 seconds or so. They were getting more intense and the nurses were hurrying to bring in everything and to call my doctor. Not long after, the nurse asked to check me again and declared that I was 9 cm. She called my doctor, who luckily was in her office, right next door to the hospital. The nurses were getting concerned and told me that if I felt like I needed to push, then I needed to get back into bed. As soon as the doctor arrived I was ready to push and after a short wait, I pushed him out in a few pushes. He was born at 4:57 pm. Since I had waterbirths with both of my other boys, this was my first delivering a baby on a bed! I am so lucky to have three fabulous birth experiences!!

Sullivan weighed 8 lbs 2oz and was 20 inches long. He was smaller than Preston and Kelvin were. They both weighed 8 lbs 7 oz. He is a wonderful baby. He is very mellow and loves to listen to and watch his brothers. He loves to be held and he likes to be on his tummy. He is very good at lifting up his head and looking around. Preston and Kelvin are both great big brothers. Preston has been such a great help with him. He likes to help bathe him or get him a blanket or diaper. Kelvin loves him and wants to kiss and touch him. Whenever he sees Sully, he runs over and says, "hi, bee (baby)." He also points to his eyes, nose, ears and lips and says those body parts at least a few times a day. It is quite fun to have three little boys! We are so blessed!! Here are the pictures from the hospital...

Catching up... Pictures from 2013

Finally, I am trying to catch up after not blogging in so long! I decided that I would put a quick view of random pictures from March - December 2013 and then I will start fresh with 2014. The second half of 2013 was filled with remodeling and two cute, growing boys with one more on the way. Here are the assorted pictures.
Eating in the construction zone in our bedroom (March)

Carl and Preston working on the new wall. Carl ripped down the wall to the closet in our bedroom, moved it our two feet and made two walk-in closets. They are quiet fabulous! Thank you to my handy husband. This was a big improvement to our organization!
